20,000 community lacks basic health amenities, most of the people here and the suburbs suffers from one ailment or the other. The current health center is dilapidated and dysfunctional, and it is not funded at all by the government.
The government has abandoned Kurere, leaving the residents without access to basic services, including healthcare. This has led to a decline in the health of the residents, with many people suffering from preventable diseases.
Dr. O. O. Oduwaiye, in collaboration with the Kurere Progressive Union and with the support of Kurere natives worldwide, is putting forth a plan for the establishment of a new healthcare facility in Kurere. This initiative aims to deliver essential medical services to the local inhabitants.
The health center will offer a wide range of services, including:
Primary care
Maternal and child health care
Communicable disease control
Nutrition counseling
Mental health services
